Hakone-hotels.jp is a website which provides information about sightseeing and accommodation in Hakone, a famous onsen spot only 90 minutes from Tokyo and Mt. Fuji. The website introduces Hakone Hotel Kowakien, a resort hotel surrounded by nature and B&B Pension Hakone which offers accomodation at very reasonable prices.

In addition, B&B Pension Hakone and Hakone Hotel Kowakien are located near Yunessan, where you can enjoy 20 different types of onsen (hot-spring baths) and a Japanese restaurant called Tsubaki Sanso which is steeped in traditional Japanese culture, as well as the nearby Kowaki Resort. These accomodations are located in the center of Hakone; 15 minutes from Hakone Onsenkyo and 15 minutes from Ashinoko by car, and there are buses which conveniently run from the hotel to Gotemba Premium Outlets. It is about 50 minutes by car to Odawara Station where the bullet train stops. (bus: 800 yen, taxi: 4000 yen).

Azalea Festival: Second Sunday of May at Kowakudani Horaien

The Azalea Festival gives visitors the chance to enjoy Horaien (Horai Garden)’s vast array of azaleas that come into full bloom during May and June.

Kintoki Festival: May 5th at Sengokuhara/Kintoki Shrine

May 5th in Japan is known as "Children's Day", and it is also the day on which the Kintoki festival is held to celebrate the Japanese folk hero "Kintaro". His full name was Kintoki Sakata, but as a child he was known simply as Kintaro.

Ohiradai Hot Spring Festival: April 16th and 17th in Ohiradai

Held during the cherry blossom season, this festival is held to give thanks for the clean and plentiful hot springs of Hakone. Floats and portable shrines are carried through the town to celebrate.

Yudate Shishimai (Lion Dance): March 27th at Sengokuhara Suwa Shrine

Originating in the Edo era, the Yudate Shishimai (Lion Dance) attracts many visitors every year. During the ceremony, hot water is splashed onto the heads of onlookers in order to bless them and protect them from illness in the coming year.
